Meet the Winemaker Series: Jauma Wines (Free Event)

Jauma wines is owned and produced by James & Denise Erskine. James is a former sommelier, holds a degree in Agriculture (Soil Science) and has previously been selected for the Len Evans Scholarship and Gourmet Traveller Sommelier of the year. The wines are produced in tiny amounts from small parcels in McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. Everything is done by hand and in a natural way, with no additions. The wines are made on their skin with long, slow natural ferments. Skin contact is also used for the whites, with Jauma producing one of Australia’s best orange wines. The vineyards are managed by viticulturist Fiona Wood and are looked after using organic principles. Their first vintage release was in 2010 and since then they have achieved cult status as one of the stars of the Australian natural wine scene. Please join us and Sam Blackwell from Liquid library as we taste through a selection of new releases from the Jauma catalogue.
